Pumpkins

Okay I as a child loved to go to get a pumpkin and to carve it. But I guess I have odd children. They did like to go last night to get the pumpkins and they were as of last night all set to carve it. But today when I came home from work. I said to them. How about we carve the pumpkins. Oh did they get excited. We get the pumpkins together. I tell them to draw on the pumpkins what kind of face they want on them. I also told them that I would carve it. I was scared to let them do it. I know that I need to let them do more things on their own. But I am not ready for this one yet.

I start to cut the top of all 3 of them. As they are drawing on them. I get the top off and tell Justin and Tyler that they need to start to get the guts out of them. They get there spoons and start to dig. I said you don't have use a spoon use your hands. Justin tells me that he does not like that. It will get his hands dirty. I was like WHAT. I used to love that part of carving a pumpkin. But here is my children who would rather use a spoon. I was okay. But after a couple of mins of this. They get bored. They start to flick the pumpkin guts across the backyard. Then Justin tells that he wants to plant the seeds so we don't have to buy our pumpkins next year. We can grow them. I was okay. So him and Tyler go and dig a hole to plant there pumpkin seeds. I guess we will see if we have pumpkins next year. After that they lost interest. Justin went inside and started to play the Wii and Tyler and Ethan started to ride their bikes. So guess who finished the pumpkins. Yep your right me and Kent. I got the guts out and he carve them. I think we did a great job.
